Sing out: I Like Science!

Not only do truth & justice matter, but they also have a good beat! After all of the anti-science tripe we've faced in the past few years, I'm hoping you'll find a bit of joy in this quirky little tune.

Singer/songwriter Peggy Watson says:

I originally wrote this song during the early months of the pandemic as my response to some of the politically motivated attacks on science that were spreading at the time. It was a simple tune that I got bored with pretty quickly. So, I went to my buddy David Beldock and said, "Let's rewrite this one." What we came up with was nothing like the original. Paul Beach added his bass magic and Dave Blackburn played percussion and recorded the song for our album. Hope you enjoy! P.S.Science helped save my life and the lives of several of my dear friends. I definitely like science!

Watson is known not only for her beautiful voice, but also for performing concerts benefitting AIDS organizations, international medical aid projects, and many events supporting environmental justice and human rights.

Peggy and her musical cohorts, David Beldock and Paul Beach, perform original acoustic folk, blues and jazz, mostly in the San Diego region, where they're known for their great musicianship, beautiful harmonies, and humorous stage presence.
